Job Purpose:

The Service Department manages technicians Australia wide ensuring that customers are fully supported during installation, commissioning, servicing and ongoing maintenance of machinery as well as providing training of operators, production and maintenance staff.

Main Duties:

• Perform planned services on MULTIVAC and bakery equipment installed on customer sites, as well as machine services and rebuilds in the MULTIVAC workshop when required.
• Suggest and promote preventative maintenance agreements to customers to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Conduct site surveys for quotations or delivery purposes and liaise with internal departments to arrange transport and delivery of equipment.
• Carry out installations, commissioning, and operator training on various bakery and Multivac equipment at customer premises.
• Diagnose and rectify technical issues causing breakdowns at customer sites, investigate and resolve performance problems, and provide technical phone support when onsite attendance is not possible.
• Complete all required safety documentation (e.g., SWMS) and comply with local safety guidelines, ensuring risks are identified and controlled at customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.
• Complete all required documentation (including Service Reports, Audit Reports, Timesheets, SWMS, Service Kits & Critical Parts Lists for PMAs, Concur Expenses, Performance Reviews, RFA) within the required timeframe.
• Collaborate with management on service-related matters within Australia and maintain clear communication throughout projects and service activities.
• Attend machine-specific training courses as directed to maintain technical expertise.
• Travel to customer sites and interstate as required to fulfill service, installation, and support responsibilities.
• Comply with local safety guidelines and ensure risks are identified and controlled whilst working on customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.

Relationships and Authority:

• Reports directly to State Service Manager.
• Reports directly to State Service Supervisor – Day-To-Day activities.
• Reports directly to Schedular – Day to Day scheduling.

Required Skills:

• An Electrician’s Licence “A” Class OR be a trade qualified Fitter/Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical Licence;
• Experience in the service and maintenance of Bakery industry equipment is desirable.
• Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Willingness to work at least one weekend each month, travel at short notice and work flexible hours as required.
• Current Drivers Licence; and
• A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
