Main Duties:
- Perform planned services on MULTIVAC Australia supported equipment installed on customer sites;
- Travel to customer sites as required to diagnose and rectify technical issues causing breakdowns;
- Investigate and proactively work to correct problems where machines are not performing at required levels;
- Perform machine services and rebuilds in MULTIVAC workshop as required;
- Provide technical phone support to customers where onsite attendance is not able to be provided;
- Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
- Attend machine -specific training courses as directed;
- Comply with local safety guidelines and ensure risks are identified and controlled whilst working on customer sites and MULTIVAC offices.
Relationships and Authority:
- Reports directly to State Service Manager
Required Skills:
- A current Electrician’s Licence OR be a trade qualified Fitter / Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License;
- Experience in the food industry packaging or processing equipment is an advantage;
- Electronics skills and knowledge of PLC driven processes is mandatory;
- Advance knowledge of motor, servomotor and drive technology is a plus;
- Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings to a component level;
- Proven customer service skills;
- Willingness to work weekends, travel at short notice and work flexible hours as required;
- Current Drivers License; and
- A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
