Meat & Minds Summit: Stimulating ideas for the future of meat processing and packaging

Wolfertschwenden, 24 June 2026 – With their Meat & Minds Summit from 27 to 29 October 2026, MULTIVAC with TVI and Handtmann will be creating a top-class platform for exchanging ideas on the key topics for the future of the meat and protein industries. The focus will be on the current developments in the sector, as well as the future of meat and sausage manufacturing, together with the advancement of sustainable packaging solutions. Technical lectures by experts in the sector, as well as live demonstrations and contributions from leading research institutes, will tackle the challenges and prospects for the sector in a practical way. 

Topics on the future of the meat sector

At the start of the conference the focus will be on the most important developments in the meat and protein industries. International experts in the sector and high-quality keynote speakers will examine market trends and give an insight into technological solutions, which are already changing the sector and will continue to shape it in the future.

Outlook for the future of meat processing and packaging

Representatives from renowned research institutes will be presenting in "Future Lab" the details of current developments and research results under the subject headings of "Save Food", "Sustainable Packaging" and "Production of the Future". Taking part will be the Fraunhofer Institute, the Danish Meat Research Institute, the University of Hohenheim, Munich University and the Sustainable Packaging Institute at the University of Albstadt-Sigmaringen. The focus will be on new technology, sustainable concepts and innovations, which are driving the sector forwards.

Networking and evening event

The market place brings together partners throughout the supply chain, so that they can present their solutions and technical knowledge. A networking event on the first evening will complete the program and offer the opportunity for exchanging technical information and consolidating existing contacts.

Practical "deep dive" sessions

On the second and third days of the event, the participants will be able to target in depth the subjects that are relevant to their particular company: Interactive live demonstrations and moderated expert sessions on all aspects of packaging, meat and sausage processing, automation and digitalisation will convey practical knowledge and concrete approaches to solutions, as well as stimulating ideas that can be applied directly to everyday work within companies. Items on the agenda, which can be booked individually at the sites of MULTIVAC (Wolfertschwenden), TVI (Bruckmühl) and Handtmann (Biberach), enable the visit to be aligned precisely with the individual interests and current challenges of the particular company.
