Central to the future of the food industry is how it handles the growing shortage of personnel, and how it deals with the increasing demand for ever greater flexibility in production. “Up to now many tasks on our customers' lines have traditionally been associated with a high level of manual input. Our objective is therefore to automate as many of these processes as possible, involving integrated and fully automated lines, as well of course as using Artificial Intelligence,“ explains Dietmar Bohlen, Vice President of MULTIVAC Deutschland. “In order to meet the rising demand for smaller batch sizes and greater product diversity, we are able to offer machines, which can be converted very easily and quickly – even by personnel without any special technical knowledge.“

At the trade fair MULTIVAC will be demonstrating its expertise in complete lines and automation, exhibiting a traysealer line for packing ready meals, which includes not only the compact and high-performance TX 620 traysealer, but also a conveyor belt labeller with an AI based inspection system for product inspection at the infeed and label and print inspection at the outfeed. TX 620 is distinguished by its intelligent machine and line control, as well as the highest standards of hygiene. The filled trays are stacked automatically in containers by a Cobot (MULTIVAC Combined Automations). The line will be packing ready meals under modified atmosphere in a sustainable cardboard tray, which is sealed very reliably with a thin recyclable film.
