MeetMULTIVAC: Regional Sales Manager

Introducing the team at MULTIVAC

10.09.2025

At MULTIVAC, our people share the same vision and values to help process and package what is valuable to your business, but how much do you know about the different areas of our business, and the people who make it all happen?

We’re making business more human and introducing you to some of our hard-working, knowledgeable, employees from the various departments at MULTIVAC UK.

It’s our September instalment of MeetMULTIVAC...

Joe Wakefield, North West Regional Sales Manager

What do you do at MULTIVAC? Describe your role...

I am responsible for looking after our North West accounts, maintaining good customer relationships, and managing all sales enquiries within the region. I am continually seeking new opportunities to grow our business, while proudly promoting Multivac’s best in class processing and packaging solutions.

What does your day to day look like?

I plan and structure my days and weeks to accommodate customer visits and meetings. However, I remain flexible and responsive to evolving customer needs, which may require reactive support. I also proactively seek new business opportunities thorugh cold calling and reaching into uncommon sectors.

How long have you worked at MULTIVAC in your role? Have you had any other roles at MULTIVAC?

I began my career at Multivac as a technician in 2018. Since then,  I have developed my skills and progressed within the company, taking on the role of Regional Sales Manager for the North West in May of this year.

What do you like about working at MULTIVAC? What’s your favourite part of your job?

I have to say, the best part of this role is getting out and about, meeting people and building connections. I enjoy helping customers, whether it’s finding the right solution or offering them advice. In many ways, its similar to a technician role – while I may not be physically fixing something, I’m still solving problems for our customers and I get a buzz out of that!

What are you generally working on at the moment which you are happy to share?

I am currently working on lots of big projects for 2026, the region is booming! Great to see!

What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

I used to do a lot of football, running and gym workouts but these days you’ll find me doing whatever my daughter wants to do! I do take her to football matches with me occasionally, and she’s even joined me on a few fishing trips! I also spend a lot of time outdoors walking our two dogs, a Border Collie and a Doberman.

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?

I’d love to be able to play an instrument really well, maybe piano or guitar?

If you could be any MULTIVAC machine, what would you be? And why?

Definitley the R7000 - because its retired!

Where has been your favourite place to travel and why?

I visited the Bahamas in 2020, my flight back was the day before lockdown! It was a beautiful place.

If MULTIVAC had a mascot, what would it be – and what would its catchphrase be?

We should definetly have a mascot. How about a multivac bag of crisps named Chris Packitt?

Tell us something we don’t know! A surprising or fun fact about you...

Held a school record for most press ups in 30 seconds (52) and longest throw, probably been beaten by now but still!

Stay tuned for next month‘s instalment of MeetMULTIVAC!
