Schröter is a leading manufacturer of thermal treatment systems for the food and pet industries on an international scale. The comapny was founded in 1949 in Borgholzhausen, Germany and specialises in designing and building customised solutions for a variety of food processing methods, which include: defrosting, steaming, cooking, smoking roasting and more.

Globally used, their systems transform food products into high-quality delicacies and snacks. Schröter is best known for its innovative engineering, high-quality standards, and giving long shelf-life to products.

BAKEjet

Designs for baking, browning and cooking your meat products, the BAKEjet from Schröter can be built in various formations. Configurations for rotary baking systems, multi-air cross-flow systems, or hot-air cooking systems will enable you to bake your product to the desired specification.

ARTICjet

  • Rapidly cool to the perfect temperature and often able to pack directly

ARTICjet

With the ARTICjet from Schröter your product can be cooled at speed and then directly packed. This is achieved through a powerful cooling system which can be delivered through different cooling media, such as: ice water, cold air or brine – guaranteeing the best treatment for meat products.

  • Chill heated products quickly but in a controlled manner.

SEMIjet

  • Available in any length and as single or double-row models

SEMIjet

Speed and energy savings is as the forefront of the design of Schröter’s SEMIjet. The semi-continuous systems with integrated, automatic conveyor system produce batches effortlessly. This solution also offers homogeneity of the meat products and precisely repeatable results. 

 

Highlights: 
  • Transport systems are available for rolling wagons, stationary racks, modules and overhead rail systems.
  • Offers cooking and chilling process, one after the other, in a fully automated process.

  • Optional coding to allow process data to be saved directly on a module which is then automatically read
  • Option of scanning system via temperature-resistant barcodes to scan into the control system

FISHjet

FISHjet

The FISHjet solution from Schröter takes raw fish and transforms it into a flavoursome product. With the ability to handle a variety of different fish, the state-of-the-art drying and smoking system, for hot or cold smoking, guarantee susccessful preparation of delicate products.

  • Low weight loss and an appetising colour is attained through uniform, gentle drying.
  • The circulating air system offers infinitely variable control of powerful fresh air supply and substantial smoke volume.

  • Can be adapted to a single-wagon system or a fully continuous production line

SMOKjet

  • Four different types of smoke solution available
  • Different intensities of smoke flavour possible
  • Unique features to each type of solution

SMOKjet

Different products require different smoke intensities. With this in mind, Schröter offers four systems for hot and cold smoking systems in the SMOKjet portfolio: smouldering smoke generators for wood chips, steam and friction smoke generators and liquid smoke units.

 

A highlight for each type: 
  • Wood Chip Smoke Generators
    Closest to traditional smoke generation by burning either coarse wood chips or finer saw chips - the latter provide a mild smoke. Automatic chip removal. 
  • Friction Smoke Generators
    A smoke flavor of medium intensity produced by a wood bar being pressed against the wheel pneumatically via a stainless steel drive chain. Dual smoke outlet. 
  • Steam Smoke Generators
    Superheated steam to extract desired subatances from wood chips creating a medium to strong smoke flavour. Single smoke outlet. 
  • A liquid, undiluted smoke concentrate is atomised by compressed air in the process chamber resulting in a medium to strong smoke taste.

CLEENjet

  • Purify even highly contaminated smoke streams
  • Available as individual solutions or a central system for multiple emission sources
  • Option of downstream units for integrated heat recovery.

CLEENjet

Used to clean heavily contaminated flue gas volume flows, Schröter's thermal afterburning systems are capabile of 200 to several thousand cubic meters per hour. The Schröter CLEENjet is available in a wide range of variants in a classic design or as a weatherproof and noise-insulated container solution.

 

Highlights: 
  • Carbon compounds and atmospheric oxygen present in the raw gas are almost completely converted into CO2 and water vapor.
  • Excess heat energy is optimised to either heat the process water, feed it into the heating systems, or heat thermal oil for frying lines.

Advantages: 
  • Option to have amount of exhaust air that will be produced and its level of contamination analysed by Schröter
  • A four-column scrubber is available as an alternative for systems with steam smoke generators through spraying water
