MeetMULTIVAC: Product Manager: Traysealing & Flow Wrapping

Introducing the team at MULTIVAC

24.04.2026

At MULTIVAC, our people share the same vision and values to help process and package what is valuable to your business, but how much do you know about the different areas of our business, and the people who make it all happen?

We’re making business more human and introducing you to some of our hard-working, knowledgeable, employees from the various departments at MULTIVAC UK.

It’s our April instalment of MeetMULTIVAC...

Matt Taylor, Product Manager: Traysealing & Flow Wrapping

What do you do at MULTIVAC? Describe your role...

I look after the Traysealer and Flow Wrapper product ranges at MULTIVAC UK. My role is varied and includes supporting the sales team, creating sales literature, carrying out market and competitor analysis, specifying machines, and liaising closely with all deparments across the business.

As Product Manager, I’m also the main point of contact between MULTIVAC UK and our parent company for these product ranges. This covers everything from technical sales enquiries and factory acceptance tests (FATs) to market and development feedback, forecasting, and more.

Alongside this, I manage the stock of capital equipment, organise customer trials, visit customers, attend trade exhibitions, and oversee new product launches. Everyday is different, and while the role covers many different areas, overall I’m responsible for all things Traysealing and Flow Wrapping at MULTIVAC UK.

How long have you worked at MULTIVAC in your role? Have you had any other roles at MULTIVAC?

I joined the company in 2009 as a Field Service Technician and transitioned into Product Management in 2015. I’ve been the Traysealer Product Manager since 2023.

What do you like about working at MULTIVAC? What’s your favourite part of your job?

The best part of my job is the variety and the people I work with. As a Product Manager, I work closely with customers, colleagues across MULTIVAC UK, and our global MULTIVAC teams. No two days are the same, and every day brings a new challenge.

What are you generally working on at the moment which you are happy to share?

I’m currently working on several projects. Most recently, we received an order for two large, high‑speed traysealer machines, and I also hosted international colleagues for our annual strategic partners meeting, which included visits to UK customers.

Alongside this, I’m continuing to develop improved sales tools for our front‑line sales teams, including enhanced quick price guides and speed and configuration calculators.

There are always a large number of live enquiries across a wide range of applications — from semi‑automatic traysealers through to full line solutions — working closely with sales teams, fellow Product Managers, project teams, and third‑party partners.

What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

Weekends are busy. Saturday and Sunday mornings are usually spent taking my daughters to their various dance classes. During the winter months, my Saturday afternoons are dedicated to running my local village football team, and I play every other Sunday for a veterans team. In the summer, I play and captain a local cricket team on Saturdays.

When we have free time as a family, we enjoy visiting Yorkshire coastal towns, spending time in York city centre, and going out for meals together.

If you could be any MULTIVAC machine, what would you be and why?

It would have to be a TX traysealer. They are fast, well built, super efficient and best in class – nothing like me.

What’s your favourite way to start your workday?

With a cup of Yorkshire Tea!

Where has been your favourite place to travel to and why?

I have been fortunate to travel to quite a few places through both leisure and work. My favourite place to visit is the island of Rhodes, as it holds so many memories with family and is also a beautiful and friendly place to visit.
