MeetMULTIVAC: Regional Sales Manager, North East
Introducing the team at MULTIVAC
19.03.2025

At MULTIVAC, our people share the same vision and values to help process and package what is valuable to your business, but how much do you know about the different areas of our business, and the people who make it all happen?
We’re making business more human and introducing you to some of our hard-working, knowledgeable, employees from the various departments at MULTIVAC UK.
It’s our March instalment of MeetMULTIVAC...
Lea Ball, Regional Sales Manager, North East
What do you do at MULTIVAC? Describe your role...
As a Regional Sales Manager at MULTIVAC, I am responsible for overseeing sales operations within my designated territory, managing customer relationships and promoting MULTIVAC’s packaging and processing solutions. The role centres around strategic planning, team coordination and business development.
What does your day to day look like?
Everyone says it, but no two days are the same. One day I can be meeting and greeting customers, walking factory floors looking at ways to streamline production; the next day I can be at our offices in Swindon utilising our Innovation Centre to conduct customer trials; and then another day I could be at our head office in Germany. It keeps us on our toes!
How long have you worked at MULTIVAC in your role? Have you had any other roles at MULTIVAC?
I am very new; I have been here since October 2024 – so that’s what? 5 months. In that short time I feel like I’ve learnt a lot about the company and am definitely starting to know my way around!
What do you like about working at MULTIVAC? What’s your favourite part of your job?
The diverse range of activities and responsibilities keeps things fresh, and there’s always something new to learn which I am enjoying at the moment.
What are you generally working on at the moment which you are happy to share?
I am currently working on projects such as upgrades to existing customer machines through to turnkey, full-line installations.
So, you’re attending FOODEX this year and will be on the stand with us. What are you most excited about for the show? What are you hoping to get from it?
Exhibitions are always a great place to meet new and existing connections within the industry, and of course our customers – it’s a great way to effectively have 3 months' meet and greet in just a handful of days. I’m excited to be overly productive!
What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
I have taken part in many Ice Swimming Galas, both in pools and open water, and continue to do so. I was once a world record holder for the fastest 100m in water sub 5 degrees... until someone beat my time!
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why? What would you discuss?
Arguably a historical figure, I would like to have dinner with David Attenborough – a hugely respected individual, who I would undoubtedly enjoy discussing his life's work and adventures with.
What is your favorite travel destination and why?
To date, Lisbon has been one of the nicest places we have visited. It is steeped in history and packed with beautiful places to sit and drink coffee.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
The power to heal myself and others – during those cold swims, recovery can sometimes take 30–45 minutes, so it would be lovely to speed that up for me and others around me – and of course, there would be other benefits!
Tell us something we don’t know! A surprising or fun fact about you...
I am a Level 2 Qualified Triathlon Coach and every year we head off to Mallorca to support a good friend of mine with a Tri Training Camp! It’s lovely, cycling everyday, the odd sea swim and gentle street runs.

Stay tuned for next month‘s instalment of MeetMULTIVAC!
