MeetMULTIVAC: Technical Sales Administrator

Introducing the team at MULTIVAC

20.02.2026

At MULTIVAC, our people share the same vision and values to help process and package what is valuable to your business, but how much do you know about the different areas of our business, and the people who make it all happen?

We’re making business more human and introducing you to some of our hard-working, knowledgeable, employees from the various departments at MULTIVAC UK.

It’s our February instalment of MeetMULTIVAC...

Jody Nicholls, Technical Sales Administrator

What do you do at MULTIVAC? Describe your role…

I am a Technical Sales Administrator.

The sales office has a very varied role, requiring knowledge across many areas. The main part of our role is producing quotes on SECON, the quoting tool, for the sales team. This covers the entire MULTIVAC product range.

We are also responsible for placing orders with the factories and managing them from start to finish. This involves arranging Factory Acceptance Test’s, materials and handling invoicing. All of this is carried out through SAP and C4C.

How long have you worked at MULTIVAC in your role? Have you had any other roles at MULTIVAC?

I have worked at MULTIVAC for 19 Years. I’ve always worked in the sales office, starting in the role of Proposal Engineer, working alongside two other colleagues. Together, we produced quotes for the sales team.

Over the years, my role has changed with the introduction of back office duties. This includes placing orders, supporting product managers with their product ranges, and maintaining stock, as well as managing loans and rentals of their machines.

What do you like about working at MULTIVAC? What’s your favourite part of your job?

I enjoy working at MULTIVAC because the job is both challenging and varied. No two days are the same, and that’s what I like most. I also like my team, we have some great characters in the back office,  who make me laugh and keep me going.

What are you generally working on at the moment which you are happy to share?

I am working on several quotations at the moment. I have come back to a quote which needs to have dual applications; the customer has changed their requirements multiple times, but I’m hoping we’ve got to a place where the quote reflects what they want.

What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any interesting hobbies?

I am a big family girl. I love nothing more than sitting around a table eating cake, drinking tea, and catching up with everyone. This normally takes place at my parents’ house on Saturday afternoons.

I also play football for a local ladies’ team, Blunsdon Ladies. I love playing football and have always enjoyed playing since I was a young child. I am also a football mum, watching my boy most Sundays when our games don’t clash.

I am planning on doing a bit more travelling with my other half Alex, we are planning on buying a camper van soon so we can explore the UK and go on a few adventures!

If you could design your dream office space, what’s one must-have feature?

Ohh it would have to have a fancy coffee machine, I seem to enjoy a good cup of coffee the older I have gotten!

What would you say your greatest accomplishment is to date? Is there anything you’d still like to achieve?

My greatest achievement would have to be my children, Peter and Charlie. They’re just good humans, and that’s all you can ask for as a parent. They also make me laugh a lot, which makes my heart happy.

Last year, I watched my younger sister run the London Marathon in memory of my wonderful mum. She also ran it to support Pancreatic Cancer UK, and after watching this, I am hoping to run a marathon myself. I might start with a half first, but that’s definitely something I would like to achieve in the future.

What’s one piece of technology at MULTIVAC that fascinates you?

I work closely with 2 Product Managers, so labellers and slicers are the machines I mostly like knowing more about.

What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?

I would definitley need music, so an iPod? Then I would need to keep it charged, so a solar panel charger.  And, of course, a pack of toothbrushes.

If you could travel back to one specific point in time, when would it be? Why?

I would travel back to 1997 and stop myself going to Ibiza. That holiday resulted in me turning up for the Under 18’s England football trials a little worse for wear! So, going on a 7 day celebration with my best friends, cost me the chance to wear an England shirt on my back! A big regret…

Tell us something we don’t know! A surprising or fun fact about you…

When I started my engineering apprentiship at 16, I was one of 12 girls in the intake, which at the time was the biggest intake of women they had at one time. I was one of only 4 who completed the full four-year course and gained my HNC in Mechanical Engineering. I was offered a job at the end of it and I spent the next five years working in the sub assembly maintenance team.

Anything else? Is there anything else you’d like us to cover, maybe an important aspect of your job that isn’t covered above? Let us know…

Due to the length of time I have worked at MULTIVAC, I try to support both my team and colleagues in other departments with technical issues whenever I can. Subsequently, I do get involved in a lot of conversations regarding mechanical issues of the machinery and how these translate into SECON. This knowledge is invaluable for training purposes, and business continuity.

Stay tuned for next month‘s instalment of MeetMULTIVAC!
