Packaged reliably and securely: Health Packaging solutions from MULTIVAC

Health Packaging: MULTIVAC at interpack (Hall 16, Stand A 38)

Wolfertschwenden, 10 March 2026 – Exhibiting under the motto "Protecting what protects health", MULTIVAC will be showing at interpack 2026 (7-13 May) a range of innovative packaging solutions, which combine the industry-specific and individual requirements of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition to offering expert advice on all aspects of packaging, and in particular sustainable packaging concepts, the company's new brand in this sector, MULTIVAC Health Packaging, will be focusing at the trade fair on an automated line for packaging medical products with a high level of flexibility and process reliability, as well as an interactive pharma line for securely packaging pharmaceutical products, together with a handling module for automatic palletising.

Individual to each customer: Packaging for medical products

MULTIVAC offers secure and cost-effective packaging solutions for medical products. Among the exhibits at the trade fair will be the R 245 thermoforming packaging machine with integrated Bell-Mark printer and two MULTIVAC visual inspection systems – one for inspecting the print image and one for the integrated seal seam inspection. The efficient and secure packaging of heart catheters in recyclable flexible film packs will be demonstrated on-site, and the packs comply fully with the PPWR requirements. The machine in the MULTIVAC Clean Design comprises a range of design features, which make a significant contribution to improved process transparency and reliability, as well as aiding easy cleaning. These include for example see-through safety guards and side cladding, the avoidance of hidden corners and cavities in the design, as well as cable and line routing in closed channels and particularly small clearances. The individual packs are printed with a UDI-compliant direct web printer from Bell-Mark.

Reliable solutions for pharmaceutical products and sensitive items.

Using an interactive "Pharma line", sensitive pharmaceutical products will be shown being packaged securely and reliably. This interactive tool will illustrate the wide range of solutions on offer from MULTIVAC in the pharmaceutical sector – various equipment options and innovations will be shown, such as for example the pixelSEAL contour sealing system, which can be controlled digitally to increase the process reliability. It operates with highly precise temperature control for optimum sealing of thermoformed packs – and with very even temperature distribution. Thanks to the individually controllable sealing pixels, the heat can be generated with +/-1°C temperature difference, so that even the most complex packaging materials can be run.

Automatic palletising

MULTIVAC will be presenting an H 300 Cobot handling module for standardised automation tasks, and this module is ideally suited to palletising. It can be integrated seamlessly into existing lines, and it offers a cost-effective entry-level module for automated end-of-line solutions, without having to make compromises in terms of safety and efficiency.
